Seventeen years ago today, we married in a small village in Denmark passionate in our love and committed to a lifetime together. Graduate school and the military forced us apart for a time, and our newlywed days were spent with an ocean between us. When our commitments were finished, we finally stood on the same continent after a three year separation.
I will never forget the look in his eyes as he walked towards me in the airport after his deployment to Germany, sweeping me up effortlessly in his embrace and kissing me like it was the first time.
He holds my heart in his hands and still makes butterflies swarm in my stomach with just a look. He is the man I dreamed of and prayed for as a little girl. And God has blessed me more than I can say.
Our life has been a roller-coaster of ups and downs, yet he is rock solid. His love for each of our children is astonishing and he never fails to tell each of us how much he cares.
He is my superman.
He is everything that I didn’t know I needed. He is sexy as hell, smart, driven, loyal, passionate, funny, quirky, silly, dynamic, serious, romantic and more. He is my Beloved and best friend. Loving him is effortless. Happy Anniversary sweetheart. I am so glad I get to grow old with you!

Happy Anniversary!

Oh yes, very easy on the eyes Steph!
Ah, another long distance romance! When Glenn and I met online, he was in Japan, I was in Seattle. Over 8 months he was in Japan, England, Norway and Scotland before he flew to LA and we met in person a week later. (We had a total of 60 hours together.) The next 4 months he was in Australia and I was still in Seattle. I flew out (for 2 weeks) for his younger brother’s wedding. 8 months later, he flew out to propose and we had a month together. 4 months later, I flew out for a month in Oz to get stuff set up for our first home and paperwork and all that good stuff. 10 days before we married, he flew out from Oz to Seattle. We had 2.5 months together over the course of 2 years and 3 months in person before we married. :p
Oh, I can relate! But is does make for a really great story to share!
Happy 17 and here’s to many many more!
Thanks!
