I was due about a week ago with baby #6, and for me, that is NEVER an issue, since my babies come when they are darn good and ready. Going post date is very normal for me and I have been doing a lot of things to keep busy and distracted as we await this little one. And as I came across this link up, I had to share it with you.
As I have gone to bed each night, I have looked for things to do to keep myself busy. Painting has become an easy distraction since I have chosen to shut down the shops and focus on letting this time be mine to create. And each time I sit to make a new piece, weather it takes me days or minutes, I am reminded how God’s blessed me with this particular gift ~ being an artist.

Gifts: sometimes belittle them, sometimes we ignore them, sometimes we forget them. But they are always there, ready for each of us to ignite the fire and burn in order to feel closer to Him.
Painting is my gift. And after the loss of Amelia, I threw myself into it with a force. It was my lifeline, my survival mechanism. And as her 3 year angelversary approaches (March 11th), I am reminded how much my art has given me. So much good has come from something as simple as putting a paintbrush to canvas and choosing to share my work. And I thank God for that.
Trust your gift. Use it. It is most precious and designed to shine and illuminate God’s love for you.
