Do you ever feel like a cup of coffee? A warm and yummy brew that has tons of flavor and gets right to the heart of the matter.
I used to despise everything about coffee!
It is not until very recently that I have even given coffee, this magical nectar, a chance. And now I am a convert. I enjoy it like never before. I like the aroma as it wafts in the air. I like how the heat of the mug feels against my palms first thing in the morning. I like how the cream transforms something plain and basic, into something that makes me feel like I am watching art being created.
A simple cup of coffee has a lot to offer ~ like a lesson from God.
I am that coffee. Something just underneath the surface ~ undulating emotions that roll and turn in on themselves moving upward. Doubt, jealousy, insecurities all bubbling in a cloak of imperfection and sin.
And then . . . just like that ~ God’s hand moves to stir me, sending ripples of his love through me. Taking what I was without Him and incorporating me into something new. If I look, I can see the swirls of His influence within my life and how they are all gracefully connected. Folding in on one another, layer after layer, creating new possibilities and meanings with each fluid movement. Changing the darkness into light. Plain black coffee becomes a peppermint mocha latte and I am more flavorful and beautiful with Him than I was all by myself.
Man, I LOVE COFFEE! Thanks God:)
